Maria Barresi is a licensed funeral director who has served in the funeral industry since 1997. To meet the needs of our families who wish to prearrange their funeral, Maria became a Certified PreNeed Consultant in 2007. The CPC designation was designed by the National Funeral Directors Association to provide additional training and education for funeral directors in the preneed field.
Maria and her husband, Bob, have made their home in Newtown for more than 30 years. They have three grown children and recently became grandparents. Maria is an active member of the Newtown Congregational Church where she has served on many boards and committees. She enjoys volunteering and is a past board member of the Shelter of the Cross, a program for the elderly homeless in the greater Danbury area. Currently she is a volunteer at the Dorothy Day Hospitality House. She is a welcome member of the staff at the Cornell Memorial and Brookfield Funeral Homes.
