Daniel P. Castagna

Daniel Paul Castagna, 69, of Brookfield, devoted and loving husband to Michele (LaPorte) Castagna, died Monday, January 30th at home surrounded by his family. Daniel was born on October 19, 1942 in Hartford and lived most of his life in Eastchester, NY. He was the son to the late Armand Castagna.

Daniel was a member of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church; he was also a member of the Newtown Ski Club. He was the proprietor of Crestwood R.V. and Marine, Inc. in Tuckahoe, NY for 38 years. Daniel had a great love for his family. He loved boating, golf, music and traveling.

Daniel will be missed by his wife, Michele and his mother, Josephine (DiPippo) Castagna; two sons, Daniel C. Castagna and his wife Ruth of Palm Beach, FL and Thomas M. Castagna of Brookfield; also two brothers, Paul and Armand Castagna of CA. Daniel will be missed by many loving aunts, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his son, Christopher Castagna.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday, February 1st at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church, 138 Candlewood Lake Rd., Brookfield, CT. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM on Tuesday, January 31st at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury, CT.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Masonic Home Health Care and Hospice, 147 Toddy Hill Rd., Newtown, CT 06470 or St. Marguerite Bougeoys Church.
