Ercole A. "Babe" Petrucci

Ercole A. “Babe” Petrucci, 82, of Bethel and husband of 60 years to Mary Jane (Drago) Petrucci, died Monday, January 23rd at Danbury Hospital. Ercole was born October 16, 1929 in Danbury. He was the son of the late Ercole and Josephine (Varsalo) Petrucci Sr.

Ercole was a member of the Catholic War Veterans, VFW and Southern NY Racing Association in Danbury. He loved camping, traveling and spending time with his family. He also loved the Yankees.

In addition to his wife, Mary Jane, Ercole is survived by his two sons, Anthony Petrucci and his wife Mary and Michael Petrucci and his wife Carol; four grandchildren, Suzanne Garofola and her husband Richard, Nick, Michael and Kevin Petrucci; two great grandchildren, Dominick and Gianna Garofola; a sister-in-law, Vivian Petrucci; his nephew, Alan Petrucci and his wife Mary Margaret. He is predeceased by his siblings, Joseph, Albert and Marie Petrucci.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 PM on Saturday, January 28th at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury.

The family will receive friends from 10 AM until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT 06492.
