Arnold E. Hill

Arnold E. Hill, age 84, of Danbury died on January 28, 2012 at Glen Hill Care Center. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth “Betty” (Falls) Hill.

He was born in Danbury on November 9, 1927, to the late Joseph N. and Angelina (Wimmer) Hill. Mr. Hill was a mason (bricklayer) by trade and was a member of the I.B.A.C. Local #1. He loved gardening, his flowers and trees and taking care of the home he built at the young age of 28.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty; a son: Gary Hill and his wife Gloria of Kent; a brother: Nathaniel of Brookfield; 2 grandchildren: Kevin of Sharon, Ct and Kristy of Boulder, CO; and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his many friends at J.K.’s (his home away from home) and all of his other friends too.

Funeral Information

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 11:00 am at Wooster Cemetery, Section 17. A Prayer Service will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury at 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 1. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until the time of the service at 7:00.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Hill’s memory to the American Cancer Society, Lymphedema Research, 852 Brook St., I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067-3045.
